1. WHAT IS IT?

The Get IN2IT™ Challenge is made just for kids so you can measure exactly how well you are doing to keep your body fit and feeling great. You'll earn points for everything you eat and do. The points are called "PEADS" – Points for Eating and Doing Stuff. When you earn enough PEADS in a week, you win awards for the different levels of living great that you reach. Become a Bronze Star, a Silver Star or even a Gold Star!

2. HOW DOES IT WORK?

Use the Cool Moves & Eat Right online journals to keep track of everything you eat and activities you do every week. You will earn PEADS for eating healthy food and being active. The number of PEADS you earn in a week will determine which level you achieve. Everyone who signs up gets an instant 200 PEADS added to their account.

Challenge Levels

Mover – Mover

Click here to see a Mover Award. Everybody who joins the challenge is a Mover. This means that you're just starting to keep track of how well you eat and find out if the stuff you currently do for fun and exercise is enough. You are on the Move to being a healthier you!

Bronze Star – Bronze Star

You are on your way! You have added more activity than when you started the challenge and are doing about 90 minutes of activity every day and are starting to eat healthier foods. Stick to the right portions from the 4 food groups and you're on you way to the next level!

Silver Star - Silver Star

You really want to be healthier and stronger. You are very active and you're making a lot of healthier choices for what you eat and drink. Tell others how great you feel and they'll follow your lead. Keep pushing it, you're so close to being the best you can be!

Gold Star - Gold Star

You are a super star! You are a very, very active kid and you make great choices about the stuff you put into your body. You feel great, you look great and your brain and other major organs are working at their highest level of health. Keep it up and congratulations!

3. WHAT are PEADS?

PEADS are Points for Eating and Doing Stuff. Each week you will earn PEADS for eating and being active. Everybody who signs up for the Get IN2IT™ Challenge gets an instant 200 PEADS added to their account.

4. BONUS QUESTIONS

Hey, there are other kinds of activities you can do to be healthier. Check out the Bonus Questions to see if you are doing any of them. You will earn 100 Bonus PEADS for all the extra things you are doing! Try it, it’s fun! Note: Bonus PEADS are not added to the PEADS you earn but you will be able to see how many you get.

5. SWEAT METER

The Sweat Meter lets you pick how hard you played. Some activities, like Carrying Groceries, will only let you pick a Sweat level called "Wake Up". For these activities you earn some PEADS because your body does have to work a little but not as hard as if you go ice-skating for example. For Skating there are 3 choices on the Sweat Meter. Get it?

Here are your Sweat Meter choices:

WHOA – This is as hard as you can go. You can't talk while you're trying this hard, your heart is pounding, you are huffing and puffing and your muscles hurt. WARNING: YOUNG PEOPLE SHOULD NEVER EXERCISE THIS HARD!

GOING CRAZY – I got super hot and sweaty. I was breathing so hard that I couldn't talk at all! I could feel my heart thumping, and my muscles were tight and achy afterwards.

PLAYING HARD – I got warmed up and sweat a bit. When I put my hand on my chest I could feel my heart beating faster. I was able to talk while I played, but not easily.

HAVING FUN – I didn't get hot or make my heart beat faster, but I was moving around and being active!

WAKE UP – Birds are perching on you. There's a spider web between your leg and the wall. Sometimes people poke you to see if you are still alive. Get up and get going!

6. WHEN DO I NEED TO ENTER MY INFORMATION?

Your Challenge Week runs Monday to Sunday. You may fill in Your Journals online from Monday to Monday.
