WHY GET IN2IT?

I'll take this one! My name is Taylor and I know all about the human body. The Get In2it Challenge is all about helping your body to be as healthy and strong as it can be. When your body is healthy, you feel good, and when you feel good, everything in your life just seems better!

A lot of grown-ups have been noticing that more and more kids these days are overweight and not very active. This is a problem for everybody, because when these kids get older, they won't be as healthy as they could be. Some could even get very sick with illnesses like diabetes and heart disease! Being sick certainly doesn't feel good, and being overweight is never fun, even if you feel OK today.

The only way to be fit is to eat right and be active. But every day we are tempted by foods that taste good, but aren't very healthy, like fast food, pop and salty snacks. And sometimes it seems a lot easier to sit on the couch and watch TV or play video games than to go outside to do something active.

How can we avoid too much unhealthy stuff and do more healthy stuff? The best way is to make healthy living a habit now, while we are still learning and growing. When you Get In2it, you are building the habits that will keep you healthy and happy for the rest of your life!
