“My best Body Combat class ever.” That’s how participant Betsy Yeung summarized the 3 hour Body Combat Marathon event in downtown Toronto at GoodLife Fitness King & Liberty Club in December. More than 150 devoted participants and instructors raised funds for GoodLife Kids Foundation at this second annual event.
GoodLife Toronto BodyCombat instructors are passionate about supporting GoodLife Kids Foundation and inspiring kids to get active. Team leader Tanya Tomlin puts it this way – “We all help people on a daily basis in our classes to get closer to their fitness goals and know how important early and ongoing education about healthy lifestyles and eating habits is. The ideas and goals of GoodLife Kids Foundation are close to our hearts and we love to support the Foundation with the help of our generous participants!”
The Toronto BodyCombat team now has three fundraising events for GoodLife Kids Foundation under their belts – 2 BodyCombat marathons and a relay team participating in the 2009 GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon. This dedicated team is an inspiration to all who take their classes – from volunteering their time for these events to organizing a high energy, ‘give all you’ve got’ experience for all who took the time to be there. Participant Thelma Espinosa says it best – “I have sore feet but I don’t wanna miss a minute of this!” Now to get more kids to feel energized like this from being physically active.
