Get In2It Challenge

Record Your Activity: Personally identifiable information: At registration, we may ask children to provide their date of birth in order to customize their account and enhance their user experience. We collect the above information “directly.” In other words, we only receive information that has been actively entered when prompted.

Non-personally identifiable information:

In order to activate the account, we ask children to create a username. We only ask for email addresses of users that wish to participate in contests, emails and/or e-newsletter receipts. Passwords for usernames are for the creation and management of their characters and recording and tracking their activities.

For children age 12 or under, we ask them to provide a parent’s/guardian’s email address for authorization to participate. We will send a separate email to the parent/guardian to confirm their consent to the child’s participation in contests and e-newsletter receipt. We invite children to share information about their daily physical activity and eating habits in the Get IN2IT section. Information submitted to Get IN2IT is used for the following purposes only: awarding prizes (if applicable) for physical activity, nutritional excellence and entry into contests (if applicable). Children are not required to provide more personal information than is reasonably necessary to participate in these activities.

Children are not required to participate in polls, surveys, or contests in order to use the site or access their Get IN2IT account. We collect the above information “directly”. In other words, we only receive information that has been actively entered when prompted.

Information That is Publicly Available

  • When you post content to Goodlife Kids Foundation website, some information about your  account and your account activity will be provided to other users of  Goodlife Kids Foundation website. This may include the date posted information, and your user name.
  • Your user name, not your email address, is displayed to other users when you engage in certain activities on  Goodlife Kids Foundation website, such as when you upload content or send messages through this website.
  • Any content that you submit to  Goodlife Kids Foundation website may be redistributed through the internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by other users or the general public.

Electronic Newsletters and Emails

GoodLife Kids Foundation offers registered visitors the opportunity to sign up to receive the GoodLife Kids Foundation newsletter, emails and/or web site update information. When a user asks to receive our email newsletter, emails and/or updates, the user is asked to provide his or her date of birth (to confirm age eligibility of over 12 to receive messages), their email address or the email address of his or her parent or legal guardian (if 12 or under).

If 12 or under, the visitor’s parent or legal guardian will receive a notification email informing him or her of the child’s request to receive by email the GoodLife Kids Foundation newsletter and/or web site updates on an ongoing basis and give the parent/legal guardian the option to have his or her child’s information be removed from our database. At any time after receiving this notification email, the child’s parent/legal guardian has the opportunity to exercise the option to request that we stop sending the child the newsletter and/or updates and to request that the child’s information be removed from our newsletter/updates by following the “unsubscribe” instructions found in either their initial notification email or at the end of any of the newsletter and update emails. In addition, parents/legal guardians may at any time review any identifiable information collected about their child.

All information collected for the GoodLife Kids Foundation newsletter and/or GoodLife Kids Foundation web site updates is used only to send the child the electronic newsletter and/or updates and may be transferred, disclosed, or shared with third parties who may be engaged by us specifically to handle the preparation and delivery of the electronic newsletter and updates and perform other related technical and processing functions. These third parties may not use the information collected for other purposes and have agreed to maintain the confidentiality of such information.

Retention

We only retain personal information as long as is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. Personal information is stored in a secure facility until such time as it is no longer required, after which it is destroyed.
