Each MOVE by GoodLife Kids class can have up to 10 youth participants.

Having fun and creating relationships is a major component of MOVE! Our classes are 60 minutes in length and will consist of:

  • 10 minutes – Welcome, talk topics, and warm-up
  • 40 minutes – One to three circuits of cardio and strength exercises including fun dances and active games
  • 10 minutes – Cool down, and goodbyes

Please come prepared with your water bottle, a smile and enough space to move around if you are joining our classes over ZOOM.  MOVE classes do not require any additional equipment; participants are welcome to make the exercises performed on the ground more comfortable by using a yoga mat but that is optional.

We see great success in our virtual programming when caregivers are present and would encourage involvement. For any in person programs caregivers are required to attend and stay for the entire MOVE class.

Of course, we love to see families getting active together! All we ask is that any additional caregivers or siblings sign our waiver form that you can find using this link.

The MOVE program does not have an end date. One of the features that makes the MOVE program so unique is that our participants have access to fitness all year long.

For any Statutory Holiday we will lead one virtual drop-in class for all registered MOVE participants.

Yes, regular scheduled classes will take place during the month of March.

MOVE leads a special holiday schedule between December 23rd – January 2nd each year that all registered participants will receive information about how they can get active with us virtually!

We would encourage you to check out our digital programming on our YouTube channel which you can find using this link.

After your initial “Meet and Greet” with your MOVE Coach, you will be placed in the next available class. Your MOVE Coach will inform you of the date of your first class in your initial meeting.

Yes, once registered you’ll be sent a ‘welcome email’ introducing you to your MOVE Coach. Prior to attending your first class your MOVE Coach will set up a ‘meet and greet’ meeting with the participant and any caregivers that would like to attend. This will provide an opportunity to learn more about each other and what to expect in your first MOVE class.

We lead Try-it classes on every third Tuesday of each month that are free to join! Find current dates and how to register by visiting this link! We’d love to see you!

MOVE Coaches lead participants through each MOVE class. All MOVE Coaches are certified fitness professionals, and are passionate about ensuring the needs of each MOVE participant is considered during a class. MOVE Support Agents manage the technical side of MOVE virtual classes. They have a variety of technical experience, and enjoy integrating the individual interests of MOVE participants into the class. All Coaches and Support Agents receive specialized training to deliver physical activity programming to individuals with autism and intellectual disabilities.
